In 2019, Rennie created the Show Strides middle grade series, which has since been acquired by Andrews McMeel Universal. Books 1 & 2 will be rereleased in Fall 2024. In addition to co-authoring the series with Piper Klemm, Rennie is the managing editor for The Plaid Horse magazine and she co-authored Traci and Carleton Brooks’s With Purpose: The Balmoral Standard.

Rennie began her career at People magazine right after graduating from Penn State University in 2002. She remained on staff until 2017, working as a reporter and writer at the magazine, and then as an editor for People.com. Today she still contributes to the brand as a freelance book critic.

She’s also worked as a ghostwriter since 2008, collaborating on many non-fiction titles, including the forthcoming You Are Not a F*ck Up: The Adult ADHD Survival Guide, Andrea Barber’s memoir, Full Circle, and Terry Crews and Rebecca King Crews’ Audible Original, Stronger Together. Rennie continues to take on select collaboration projects, and enjoys editing and coaching new authors.

An avid equestrian, she lives in Maryland with her family.
